If you are someone who has great responsibilities in
the workforce but strives to find a balance between career and your personal
life, you probably already know that efficiency and practicality are huge in
reaching your goals. There is no doubt in my mind that technology is the reason
why we are capable of so much in the relatively few hours we are given each day
to make the most of what we are given. Our cell phones, whether through a
pre-paid plan like Straight Talk
or a contract plan like Verizon, give us the ability to organize, consolidate
and be more efficient through the endless apps available to us.
MyFitnessPal
This app is a great health buddy to have around and
allows you to have in one place, all you need outside of the grocery store to
achieve a healthy diet. Simply download it on your phone or tablet and have
access to diet regimes, nutrition tips, a calorie counter and nutritional facts
on over two million different foods. Let’s face it, when it comes to keeping
track of our nutrition, there comes a point where practicality and simplicity
is really what you need. So MyFitnessPal is great for having things simple and
keeping your most important diet tools at just an arm’s length.
Uber
Save time and money with this app that allows you to
access the largest worldwide transportation network. If you have never used
Uber, you’ll be happy to know that this is the way to save big on driving
services as an alternative to your traditional yellow cab. You don’t even have
to go outside to flag down your ride. Simply request a driver to pick you up
and track their arrival.
The average Uber trip is a fraction of the cost of
the average taxi ride and it’s all done from your cell phone. I was never a
taxi taker in the past because of the ridiculously high fares, but now with
Uber, I can benefit from the luxury of a driving service without having to
compromise my finances. Even go with “Uber X” and share a ride with other
fellow Uber passengers for an even lower fare. If you are looking for savings
and efficiency when it comes to transportation, this app is right for you.
